#1. You are approaching an intersection with a flashing green light. You may

go straight if your way is clear.

turn right if your way is clear.

turn left if your way is clear.

do any of the above.

In B.C., a flashing green light indicates that the intersection is pedestrian controlled. You may turn or go straight, but pedestrians can push a button at any time to turn the signal to yellow and then red to stop traffic so they can cross safely. Note: In Ontario and some other parts of Canada, a flashing green light has indicated something else: a protected turn. When travelling out of B.C., always check the local traffic rules.
