You may not use the shoulder to pass.

You may exceed the speed limit to pass another vehicle.

You may pass a vehicle on the right if it is making or about to make a left turn.

You may pass a vehicle on the left only if there is a broken line next to your lane.

In B.C., you may not exceed the speed limit to pass another vehicle. Make sure you know the pavement markings that allow you to pass.
