Class 4 Practice

#1. The Motor Vehicle Act gives public transit buses the right-of-way. What does this mean?

The Motor Vehicle Act gives public transit buses the right-of-way when a bus driver signals to move from the curb lane or a bus stop into the traffic flow and the bus displays a sign telling motorists to yield. This rule applies to locations where the speed limit is less than 60 km/h. Of course, the bus driver, like any other driver who legally has the right-of-way, is still responsible for making sure that it’s safe to pull out into traffic.
