#1. Why should you do a shoulder check when making a right turn?

To check for cyclists and other vehicles

To make sure you are in the right lane

To check when you clear the corner

To check your location

Whenever you plan to change your direction or road position, do a shoulder check to make sure the blind spot on that side is clear. When you’re going to turn right, for example, quickly check to the right to make sure no one is in that space, such as a motorcyclist attempting to pass you on the right.
