#1. If someone is tailgating you, what should you do?

If you are being followed too closely (tailgated), slow down gradually to increase your following distance and give the driver behind you more time to react. This can reduce your chances of being struck from behind should you need to stop. Avoid tricks such as flashing your brake lights. And never increase your speed in an attempt to appease or outdistance the tailgater. No speed is too fast for some tailgaters.
