#1. If you are parking a vehicle on a downgrade, you should

Turn the wheels toward either the edge or the centre of the roadway.

Keep your wheels facing straight ahead.

Turn your wheels toward the edge of the roadway.

Turn your wheels toward the centre of the roadway.

If you’re parking any type of motor vehicle (even a passenger car) on a downgrade, turn your wheels toward the edge of the roadway. If your vehicle’s brakes fail, your vehicle will roll toward the edge of the roadway, not into traffic.
