#1. What gauges should you check after starting your vehicle?

When you start your engine, look at your gauges. The oil pressure gauge should rise to the normal range within seconds. The coolant temperature gauge should begin a gradual rise to the normal operating range. The voltmeter should be in the normal range. And of course, your fuel gauge should show that you have adequate fuel for your trip.
