#1. If your cable tiedowns are not marked with their safe working load limits, what should you do?

Refer to NSC Standard 10 for the default working load limits.

Don't use them.

Assume they have a strength equal to the lowest grade or classification of their type and size.

Assume they have a strength equal to the highest grade or classification of their type and size.

According to National Safety Code Standard 10 (Cargo Securement), you may not use a tiedown or a component of a tiedown to secure cargo to a vehicle unless it is marked by the manufacturer with respect to its working load limit.
