The yellow knob is the parking brake control for the entire vehicle. Pull it out and you set the parking (spring) brakes for both the tractor and the trailer. The red knob controls the trailer supply valve. Pull it out and you stop the flow of compressed air to the trailer, which will set the trailer parking brakes only.
